From the Vault, Part Three

Wow. Check this out. Here's a copy of our first mailing we did for the store, the COMIX CONNECTION BULLETIN #1. I made this on my screamin' Commodore-64! What a hoot! It dates from about December 1990 when we moved to the looooong store space opposite the UA Theatres in the Delco Plaza and were celebrating our Grand Re-Opening. Let's see... a coupon for $2.00 OFF any graphic novel, a "Buy 3, Get One Free" Fantasy Miniature Sale and an announcement for York-Con VI. To help us celebrate our new location, we had artists Tom Lyle (fresh off of a five-issue ROBIN mini-series) and Tim Truman, who had just completed the HAWKWORLD mini-series. A state-of-the-art mailing! Well, for us anyway.
Good times!

That ROCKS - especially that little guy waving his hands underneath the word "Grand"!!!
I used to love the Commodore-64, but my PC of choice back in the day however was the Apple IIe.
So, when's the next York-Con?
Wow, that was a blast from the past! That was a really fun time. I miss my Commodore!!!! We had many fun games of Sniper on that, even tho' Bill cheats by throwing hand grenades all over the place! heh I really don't hold grudges....
Steve, the next York Con will be held upon release of the collected ALL Steve Comics with new material added.
I had no love for the Commodore. I was an Apple IIe all the way.
Heh heh. I remember that glorious day when I upgraded to the C-128! What POWER!
And I sent THIS to linnen previously... it's a cool music video done on an Apple II+, I think... I find it incredibly cool for some reason... just watch it.
What's sad is that I've been going to your store long enough to remember that flyer AND that York-Con.
I'M SO OLD!
Ah, yes... you were a tow-headed youth with stars in your eyes and a song in your heart... I remember it very well... whatever happened to that misspent youth, stymieresh?
