Doesn't this have something to do with Supes' power of "Super-hypnotism" which was magnified by his glasses or something? I seem to remember an issue of Superman where it was revealed that he had this power that he really wasn't even aware of. Seems he was hypnotising folks into thinking Clark Kent was actually much less muscular than Superman.
That is no goofier than anything else I've ever read in a comic...
What next? Kryptonian pheromones?
That's weird. I was just thinking of trying to track down that specific story.
Metropolis cops may not be the greatest at solving crime, but they sure are friendly when it comes to asking them what time it is..
Hey Steve, this panel is from the story line when Supes gets Jedi powers...
"This isn't the big, muscular super-hero you're looking for... move along."

Seems to me that cop is hitting on Supes!
"Bigger and more muscular from the back?"
That's a smooooth pick-up line.
Hmmmmm... I wonder what Mike Oeming, artist on POWERS (who is coming to Comix Connection on Saturday, January 21 in York from 10 AM to 1 PM and Mechanicsburg from 3 PM to 6 PM) thinks of this goofy old panel...
