The more things change the more they STEVE the same

This just cracked me up. I was digging through the Vault, and I found this circa 1988 Extremely Rare Prototype ALL-STEVE COMIX original cover art...

Crack me up! The action takes place at the very first (333 square feet) Delco Plaza location... pictured is yours truly VACUUMING the cash out of poor Steve's wallet, while Ned taunts him with the original WATCHMEN hardcover book...

Flash forward to today... or last Saturday, actually. I took this shot of poor Steve STILL having the money vacuumed out of his tired wallet!

"Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose"...

My god. He even has relatively the same facial hair...

Ned looks a little like the Toyman from Superman, don't you think?

I don't know what's more horrifying: the 80s-futuristic Akira jacket in the drawing, or the chunky nerd glasses and the WWE tuque on the photo.

HA! Hey Steve, A Flock of Seagulls called and they want their jacket back!

I should talk. I am a mere shadow of my former svelt, supermodel-good-looks mid-20s self.

I think I still have that jacket at my parents... maybe I'll find it and start wearing it again.

I will give you five dollars if you let me take a picture of you wearing it so I can post it here. No lie.

The 80's rock!

Did Bill and Ned appear in the story or were they on the cover just to increase sales?

Some things never Change like the need to suck all the cash from my pocket.(What little I have!)

That wasn't actually Ned and I on the cover... those were stunt doubles. Neither of us have a SAG card...

Hey Craig, what's the problem? Just stop paying rent and stuff and BUY MORE COMICS!

Heh heh heh.
