Friday Comics Chat Open Thread - Best Friends Forever Edition!

Aaaannnd, here we are again - the weekly Friday Comics Chat Open Thread! What did you read this week? Was it good? Was it bad? Was it ugly? Tell us! This is YOUR forum to spout off about comics!

I'll get the ball rolling: ALL STAR SUPERMAN #3 was just plain GREAT! A funny and cool "Date With Lois" issue with some unexpected twists. BLUE BEETLE #1 is an intriguing start... lots of things happening, I'll be back for the next issue...

How about you guys? Talk to me.

All-Superman 3 was frackin' so,sooooo good. I enjoyed New Avengers Illuminati and The Captain America 65th special. The current Action-Superman arc has been good so far( although not as good as All-Star supes, which did I mention was SO,SOOOOOOO GOOD). Anyone not reading the new X-Factor series is missing out on a fantastic book.My pick this week would have to be the beautifully illustrated and well written GN "The Pacifier" ....some really trippy stuff. Thanks to all the creators at the signing last week for being so gracious with your time and sketches and to Bill and Ned setting it up, fun was had by all. Last but not least check out FF #536 ...what's that on the cover ,is that?????.....YUP.

I also enjoyed New Avengers Illuminati and I liked how it tied into FF #536, speaking of FF I like where the story is going but I knew where most of the issue was going because it was all over the 'net. Ultimate Spidey was good with some funny situations. The Sentry was ok. My let down of the week award goes to Tarot Witch Of the Black Rose, while there was a 3 way tie for my book of the week: Green Lantern (great last page), X-Men Deadly Genesis (excellent reveal), and Tag and Bink (a great hilarious look at the Star Wars Universe set during Jedi). I'd also like to thank all the creators from last week end and to Ned for talking me into that piece of cake!

One of my picks of the week has to be Savage Dragon #124...But just for the cover... So Darn Unique Looking...Unfortunately,after all these years, the only new thing about Savage Dragon is that "Old-Looking" cover...

Read a lot last Night I'm starting you get caught up. First was the Last 2 issues of Daredevil, heard good things and all I got to say is WOW! Matt in the Big House kicking butt and taking names and a death that shocked me. I won't say it here in case someone wants to pick it up. If you haven't read them rush out and pick them up while you can. Great Stuff. Next was new Avengers again I likely. I art (I forget who drew it was Amazing and the last page really rocked. JSA OYL, so so.Hawkgirl OYL Was a great read. Kinda has a horror flavor to it Good Stuff.
