Photos from Free Comic Book Day at Donegal Springs Elementary!
Check this out... Librarian Cheryl Swisher from Donegal Springs Elementary School in Mount Joy, PA sent along these great photos from the Free Comic Book Day display that was set up in the school library (sponsored by Comix Connection):

Looks like everybody had fun and got some great free comic books! (I'm a big fan of AMELIA RULES! myself. Ooooh and ARCHIE. And the SIMPSONS. And OWLY is very cool too.)
If any of you readers out there would like YOUR school district to partner with us for next year's Free Comic Book Day (or for any event for that matter), please feel free to contact me via the website! We will gladly donate comics and provide flyers and whatnot to give new readers a taste of delicious comic book goodness!

**sniff sniff** Brings a tear to your eye to see America's Geek's in Training. You touched me right in my ticker. **sniff sniff**

That was a nice thing to do. It looks like the kids had a great time. Kudos to everyone at CxCn for making it happen!
It is nice to see the younger set enjoying READING... video games and TV are cool and all, but there is nothing like the simple pleasure of reading to really spark your imagination.
It's never too early (nor too late) to become a Comic Book Geek! Welcome to the club, friends!
That's great... start them up early!
One of the better ideas I have seen in a long time!
guyfawke: Well, Diamond Comics Distributor has encouraged this type of thing for a couple of years... it just really came together for us last year, then kind of took off this year. And I know we're gonna expand it for next year into at least six school libraries, hopefully more.
If anyone out there would like to see us do this at YOUR school district's library, contact us! We love to spread the fun that is comic books!
