Ok,
Guess I'll start off this week!
Walking Dead was by far myu favorite read this week. Kirkman continues to suprise and shock me with what he is willing to do to his characters that I've grown to care about. I love this book! Everyone, well, not the kids, but everyone else should be reading this series.
Civil War Frontline was also a great read. Paul Jenkins writes a story about reporters Ben Urich and Sally Floyd who are given the assignments to tell the story of the upcoming Civil War for their respective papers. Jenkins also wrote the Generation M miniseries which was the only spin off from House of M that I really liked. In it he introduces the character of Sally Floyd. Its a really good read, you should check it out.

Gee, that Action Philosophers book has factual information? Kinda cool! Those old guys had tons great to say. From the cover, I would never think it held any fact. This week I loved the Wonder Woman and Batman. I still havent read the Frontline, maybe later today. So Donna Troy is our new beloved WW, how sweet! Three cheers to the Dodson's for portraying her so lusciously, and Heinberg for a great read. What BIG descision is Batman talking about young Tim Drake having to make after they deal with Harvey? Looking forward to the adventures of Ben and Sally.

WALKING DEAD made my head asplode! If you're not reading this book, you're really missing out... Kirkman put his characters through the wringer - then dices them up and throws them in another direction. Gripping stuff, and the best zombie story since the original Dawn of the Dead movie...
CIVIL WAR FRONTLINE #1 was much better than I assumed it would be - just goes to show ya.
IN MY LIFETIME #1, a black-and-white slice-of-life/humor title was pretty darn funny, and had a great "comic book geek" relationship story...

shadow - I have notified the Chief Counter Monkey Wrangler™ Ken, and a copy of Action Philosophers! awaits you in your box!

Man, another great week for comic books!

craig box13 - Did you give him a bananna? Lay one on the counter while saying "Can I have Box 13, please?" in a low, yet firm voice. He will then exchange your currency for comic books, as he was trained to.

If that doesn't work, use The Prod™, but only after it has been fully charged.

But, seriously folks...For those of you who are reading DC Comics 52 Weeks, here is something to chew on...what good would a gun in The Elongated Man's mouth do? Wouldn't the bullet bounce around inside his head like a honeybee in Poohs mouth? Just wonderin'? Talk amongst yourselves..I am off to the beach for the weekend...see ya all when I return with some taffy..Manager Monkey

I just picked up another big stack of books and I haven't even gotten the chance to get through 1/3 of them yet. The new Star Wars book (for $0.25) seems like it had some good artwork. Frontline and Wonder Woman also are looking really good so far. I'm anxious to get the next Civil War book! Keep doing what you guys do best.

P.S. Don't drown the monkey.

I think my pick for the week was Wonder Woman. I have been waiting for the DC people to do something that is at least a little bit surprising in the wake of the Crisis. Donna Troy as Wonder Woman and Diana Prince as a spy? good start.

Hey guyfawkes! I just read WONDER WOMAN #1, and you're right - great starting point! I'll be back for issue #2. CIVIL WAR #2 comes in on Wednesday...
