The Weekend Comics Chat Open Thread - the Potholes are Terrible Around Here Edition!

Soooo... what did you read this week?
I just finished the new A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET #1 (Wildstorm, 2006), and it was... pretty good! I'm not a huge fan of the movies, but from what I can tell this first issue seemed to hit all the high points of the concept. And I'm so very glad to see this title, along with TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and FRIDAY THE 13th, being picked up by a more responsible and reliable company like Wildstorm... (I never thought I'd write that sentence.)
By the way, the big Comix Connection Halloween Sale is at the end of this month... click HERE for more info!

Someone tell me the Marv Wolfman nightwing is good again. And that Dick isn't a model anymore. Please.
dr strange was lots of fun!
Did the Friday the 13th come out last week?
Can you nice people add Nightmare, Chainsaw and Friday the 13th to my PULL list (Box 13)
Peace Out!
Craig Box13
nick - I dunno, having never read Nightwing... sorry!
amoorefan2 - Yes, that was rather fun, wasn't it?
craig box13 - Gotcha!
Nightwing was better than it has been. It's not yet "great." Marv said that when he wrote the first two parts of the story, he was only onboard to do a 4-issue fill-in. Once he got word that he was on the book for at least a year, he was able to add more characterization and other good stuff to his 3rd issue script.
Artwise, I dunno. Not a huge fan of Jurgens. I'll stick around for a bit though.
