Bill's Self-Indulgent Post #873
Indulge me for a moment. I recently discovered these photos in my filing cabinet and I was struck by their similarity...
Exhibit A: The author as a youth astride his metallic-purple Sears Manta-Ray "muscle bike" ca. 1971...

Exhibit B: The author as a young man beside his fireapple red '61 Cadillac Sedan DeVille ca. 1986

It's all about the ride, man, all about the ride!

wait...are you the author?...cause if you are...why are you driving a mini-van?holy crap man...what a bute she was...
heh heh...that car was a lot of fun. The pic of you on the bike is priceless, are you flashing the peace sign? Hey lets make some tribbles!
amoorefan - HA! Yeah, I guess I should put up a photo of me and my current ride, the Ford Windstar. (What the heck is a "Windstar" anyway?) And yes, the Red Rocket was quite a brute... I drove that beast to California and back, and then the U-bolts holding the rear axle broke on the third day back in York, dumping the whole rear undercarriage in the street. I took that as a good sign because I wasn't somewhere in Texas or something when it happened...
Ned - yeah, that's probably my favorite car of all time... it looked like it was moving when it was parked. And, yes I am flashing the peace sign... it's what all the groovy dudes did back then.
Please don't mention the tribbles. Heh.
RE: Peace sign.
You are SUCH a tree-huggin' hippy.
RE: the car
Is that CHRISTINE???
I thought there for a minute that you had string hanging off your shorts. The closer I looked I realized it was your legs...hee....hee...peace
stymieresh - The gas pedal had this strange metallic fang pointing upward that would suck more blood out of me the faster I drove...
ralphie - that's when I was graceful like a Gazelle... now I'm more like a giant ham...
