Holy mackerel, that was the BEST FREE COMIC BOOK DAY EVER!

Thanks to all of you who came out for the festivities... I hope you enjoyed the freebies! There was quite a good selection this year, with something for every taste. Did you catch us last night on Channel 21 News? The camera crew showed up at the Mechanicsburg store and did a short piece on Free Comic Book Day! Woot!

Special thanks go out to our guest creators Mike Hawthorne and Jimmy Gownley! Thanks guys, it's always a pleasure to see you!

We'd also like to thank all the folks from Garrison Carida of the 501st Stormtrooper Legion who appeared at the Mechanicsburg Comix Connection... your costumes are insanely GREAT! I still can't get over how cool it was to walk among Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers, Sandtroopers, Sand People, a Tie Fighter Pilot, Scout Trooper (Speederbike rider) and -um- the guy in the black outfit who fired up the particle beam weapon on the Death Star. It was amazing and very surreal.

Oooh, and thanks to SPORKMAN for visiting!

I will have photos up as soon as I get them developed (yeah, I still use film), but if any of you out there want to send some cool shots my way, I will post them here on the blog.

WE WILL BE ANNOUNCING THE PRIZE DRAWING WINNERS ON MONDAY! I will post the lists here and we will call the winners on Monday! Good luck!

Remember, only 364 days until Free Comic Book Day 2008!

Man - I have never seen a comic store as crowded as what I witnessed on Saturday morning! I'm glad it was a big success for my friends at CC!!
