What do you think?

What would you guys and gals think of Comix Connection canvas tote bags, of the kind that grocery stores are starting to carry? I got the idea from another comic retailer and I thought it was brilliant... stop wasting those brown paper bags that we use for every purchase... instead bring your bag in every week, thus saving some trees. Would you use one? Would you be willing to buy one? Right now I'm looking at a cost of around $5.00 each (I know, that sounds high, but we wouldn't be ordering 10,000 like the GIANT grocery stores order. I'm also checking to see if DC Comics would cover part of the cost if we put Batman or something on one side, thus reducing the cost.) Perhaps we can link it to purchases over a couple months time or something and give them out, but I don't want them to go to people who might not use them.
What do you think? Try to imagine the above tote bag with our logo on it, and without the bread and flowers. We don't sell those yet. (Ask about our soup!)

The first step in saving paper should come from Marvel comics ceasing publication on Ultimates III.
Yeah, I would use one. But I would probably forget to bring it about half the time, just like I do the grocery store ones....
First: forget about Batman! Put Bill and Ned on there!
Second: I don't even WANT to know where you guys make soup in the stores. Ewwwwwwwwww.
Seriously, I think it's a way cool idea. They would be a great incentive for new subscribers. Although, I guess that means us old guys would have to buy them then.
It's an awesome idea, but I just wish there were another style of bag available... that one isn't the most masculine.
Maybe you could get some cool messenger bags silkscreened or something? The advantage there is that people would probably be willing to pay a little more.
Hey... I think this is great idea! Anyone who is a long time comics buyer should buy 2. One for their house and one for the car in case they forget it. grocery stores have been doing this for years. Great Idea Bill! (even though it really wasn't yours)
This is an excellent idea. And it's not like you could only use the bag for carrying comics from the store, it could be used for other stuff too. And $5 is not too much of a one time fee, considering that is cheaper than the cost of two comics. Maybe there could be some sort of incentive like 25 cents off each time you use your bag. That way after 20 visits, it pays for itself. Either way, awesome idea.
special c - I think when/if we do get these made that I'll attach a $5.00 OFF Back Issues coupon to it so that you will "instantly" get refunded for the cost. Keep your eyes peeled...
