Cooke on Jonah Hex

That's right... in next week's new Previews catalog, check the DC Solicitations, because Darwyn Cooke is doing a special stint as penciller on Jonah Hex for issue #33. Cooke said recently he had an interest in doing a story with Hex, if he could take him to Canada, so it looks like he got his wish!
If you're a fan of Darwyn Cooke's stuff, let us know and we'll get you signed up for the issue. Miss out, and you'll feel worse than Hex on that cover up to his neck in a good ole Canadian winter. Take it from me... I've got a little experience with those winters, and you don't want that!
JONAH HEX #33
Written by Jimmy Palmiotti & Justin Gray
Art and cover by Darwyn Cooke
A special issue drawn by Eisner Award-winning artist Darwyn Cooke (DC: THE NEW FRONTIER, THE SPIRIT)! Jonah Hex travels to Canada on the trail of his latest bounty. But with the Mounties hot on his heels, this isn't going to be an easy job.

I will buy literally anything Cooke is associated with - wasn't into the spirit - made me a fan, wasn't into the retro style of storytelling - new frontier changed my mind, wasn't into catwoman, fuh-gedda-boud-it - he can make and story, any character viable in today's world without changing their core. The man is a comic genius and we should all worship at his alter of awesomeness!
That New Frontier "one shot" that just came out, is that going to be an ongoing series? I'm asking because it sez on the front cover "first issue..."
No, The New Frontier Special was just that, a one-shot, but who knows... maybe if a bunch of us trek to Baltimore in September for the Con and ask him real nice he'll keep revisiting the time period!
I can dream can't I?
I have GOT to see that DVD, it sounds like it's incredibly cool.
The DVD of New Frontier is ultra-cool.
