Cartoonist Cookout tomorrow!

Join us tomorrow for our first Cartoonist Cookout at Comix Connection - Mechanicsburg! Join creators Mike Hawthorne, Mike Oeming, Taki Soma, and Paul Azaceta for a fun-filled lunch of artist-cooked hamburgers, hot dogs and maybe some special meat treats courtesy of Mike Hawthorne! Everything is free, but we will be accepting donations to the Hero Initiative in memory of Mike Wieringo. As a special treat for all the brave souls who show up tomorrow, ALL BACK ISSUES IN THE BINS WILL BE ONE DOLLAR EACH from 12PM to 5PM in the Mechanicsburg store. Get a jump on the upcoming annual Halloween Sale and scoop up some goodies out of the bins! See you there!

(PLEASE NOTE: Author Brian Keene will NOT be able to make this event, due to a family medical emergency.)

That was a great time today! Thanks to the shoppe for hosting and to Mike Hawthorne for bringing all the goodies!

All four of the visiting artists were friendly and fun to chat with - hopefully they thought the same about us. They were troopers and ended up collecting quite a bit of money for the Hero Initiative, didn't they?

Definitely a blast and I hope it is the first of many cook-outs to come.
