I forgot how awesome this opening song is

I used to love this show, as there really wasn't much SCI-FI on TV back in the '70s, plus I was in love with Catherine Schell's character Maya the shapeshifter...

the only hotter SF gals were from the submarine crew in the TV show UFO, but that's a story for another day.

Man, if only space travel had looked like that in 1999. I remember that show too and it used to kind of freak me out cuz of all the weird storylines.

Man alive- what a great intro!! Yeah- no doubt Maya was a hottie- and God knows I am bringing out my creepy geek here- but was always a fan of Jo from the Third Doctor Who (John Pertwee) era. Maya is easily up there in the top 3.
