Oh, duh, Batman!
...and the Waynes...jeez, sorry!
You can add a lot of original Justice Society members to the list of the dead. This is the team that I think Blackest Night could hurt the most as their former teammates may again soon walk the Earth.
The original Mr. Terrific was killed by Spirit King while possessing the original Flash in Justice League of America Vol. 1, #171.
The original Atom, Hourman, and Dr. Mid-nite all died during Zero Hour due to immediate old age at the hands of Extant removing the chronal energies which had kept them young(ish).
There's Starman, two in fact... David killed at the opening of Robinson's run and Ted going down with the Mist near the end of the series, climaxing the Grand Guignol storyline.
Oh... and what about Vibe and Gypsy from the Chicago era Justice League of America? I remember them haunting Martian Manhunter during the Day of Judgment tie-in during that event. I believe they're still dead, though Vibe is kind of prone to resurrection. So this should totally be his deal. Maybe the third time back from the dead will be the charm!
Oh... and I meant JLA of Detroit not Chicago. My bad!
JLA Chicago is going to be the President Obama led team I'm going to pitch as a new series for DC. In the series it's revealed that the President was controlled by an extraterrestrial force into putting together the current Youngblood roster and that the team really seeks to take over the White House and instate Rob Liefield as the new commander in chief whose first order of business will be to draw lots of unnecessary lines on the head of every American and then force them to wear big shoulder pads and multiple belts with pouches. So The Obama JLA is formed to stop this madness! Trust me! It's going to be amazing!
Would everyone please
GET BACK TO WORK! Free Comic Book Day is fast approaching and I want to be ready! Sheesh.
And I can't believe you guys left out ELEMENT GIRL!
*collapses back into sickbed*

Bill,
As far as I know, Element Girl is going to be used in the Metamorpho section of Wednesday Comics (solicited in the May issue of Previews). Looks to be very cool as written by Neil Gaiman (of Sandman fame) and rendered by Mike Allred (of Madman fame). If there's anyone who can bring back Urania, it'll be the man who wrote her death. Be sure to check it out!
And you call yourself a Metamorpho fan. Sheesh.
Oh, and feel better!
Oh... and what about Ferro Lad!
Promise I'm working!!! :)
Get well soon, Bill!
Were you guys even thinking when you made up this list? i mean come on, where's Black Goliath? Oh, and i did read on newsarama that Rainbow Raider IS comming back... so its not a joke. Stop acting like comic books are supposed to be fun and take this seriously. This is a huge event that DC needs if it wants to contend with marvel's sales.
Hey Squatch, come over here beside me... closer... closer... that's it...
*SMACK*
And I always take comics seriously.
-
Its better then the marvel zombies because its characters that are actually dead coming back in continuity...and to Joe, May the Golden Age JSA rise!
Forbush-Man? Either that or my dignity...
Squatch!? I think you are mistaken kind sir!
Urania is as bad a character name as Sif, by the way.

i personally really like the idea of abin sur, atom, ch'p, doctor light, doomsday, inertia, martian manhunter, and superboy.
Pa Kent?
pa kent can only be stronger than before...but not by much.

Heh.
There's a lot of dead JLA members - 2 Crimson Foxes, Silver Sorceress, General Glory, Maxima, Black Condor, Agent Liberty, Triumph, Amazing Man, Mystek, Mantiou Raven. Plus Hawk I and Dove I and a slew of Titan.
