Lucky or Unlucky?

Gerrit Blank, 14, was on his way to school when he saw "ball of light" heading straight towards him from the sky.

A red hot, pea-sized piece of rock then hit his hand before bouncing off and causing a foot wide crater in the ground.

You decide.

i would say lucky. Seeing as how it made a foot wide crater in the ground when it hit, he is lucky it grazed his hand and not explode his head...

The real question is: What super-powers did he get from this incident?

If you follow "Track of the Moon Beast" logic, the young man will, with the next full moon, transform into a half-man, half-lizard like creature, bent on killing elderly men playing cards. That's just how these things work.
