Manager Jared's Weekly Matchup Poll #3

Its Tuesday again and that means another battle of wit and power! Today's contenders are two of our favorite female heroes. One of them is one-quarter of the Fantastic Four, The Invisible Woman! In the opposing corner is one-third of the famous DC comics Trinity, Wonder Woman!

NOTE: The place of battle has come into question. So allow me to lay the grounds on which these battles take place. It is arena-like, with no objects outside of what each contender is carrying and will most likely be listed amongst the abilities. The are no other objects, barriers, or cover. They can not leave the stadium. Someone referred to the "Hyperbolic Chamber" from Dragon Ball Z.

ALSO, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, WE ARE TALKING CURRENT INCARNATIONS OF THE CHARACTERS MENTIONED!

The contenders' powers:

WONDER WOMAN- Superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, stamina, and durability, flight, hand-to-hand and weapons combat skills, animal empathy, regeneration, resistance to magic and ability to discern truth through use of magic lasso. She has been trained since infancy in the 3000 year old Amazon legacy of armed and unarmed combat and stategy!

INVISIBLE WOMAN- Invisibility. Force field projection grants: Ability to generate protective invisible shields and invisible power blasts as well as flight. Controls and manipulate objects and can generate invisible energy constructs! Susan is a good hand-to-hand combatant, having been trained by The Iron Fist. Her force field generating ability makes the Invisible Woman (arguably) the most powerful member of the Fantastic Four and one of the most powerful Marvel characters, and their deadliest enemy Doctor Doom has commented on many occasions that Sue is the most dangerous of the foursome.

VOTE WHO WOULD WIN IN A FIGHT, WONDER WOMAN OR INVISIBLE WOMAN?

Don't forget to tell us why you voted the way you did in the comments section! Its easy, free, and commitment free!

I went Invisible Woman because I can imagine Wonder Woman fighting a women she can't see, but I can't picture her breathing with a force field through her throat, a bubble in her brain, or a force field that can almost hold the Hulk.

So Wonder Woman admits defeat and asks Invisible Woman to join the JLA!

This time I think I will actually go Marvel. Invisible Woman's force fields are too much for Wonder Woman and even with her weapons, nothing seemingly could get through to hurt Sue.

I agree. While Diana would give it her best to shatter Sue's forcefields, the lack of oxygen or a strategically-placed air bubble inside Windy's body would quickly put down the Amazon for the count.

Marvel wins this round.

And that should read Wondy's, not Windy's. Darn these tiny keyboard keys!

Ahh, but when was the last time Sue actually did anything that nasty in a fight? She uses her force fields the way Green Lantern uses his ring in the cartoons: poorly. Unless Diana was threatening the kids, Sue would take it easy on her until it was too late. Invisibility would not be a problem for Diana, either -- she pilots the INVISIBLE PLANE okay!

I have to go with WW on this one. I know IW has had some savage battles, but I just think WW has the true grit to push to the final breath.

Folks, I jumped on the site to ask some topical Robin questions, but alas, I see you are onto the new battle. J&J, I'll be hitting you up on my next visit.

Baltimore or bust!

In this titatic tussle, there are only two questions we should be asking is, can Sue make the invisible plane visible and is there jello?

there can be jello. susan would trap wonder woman in a sphere of jello and drown her.

I voted IW simply because WW wouldn't be able to see IW to use any of her powers on. And even if WW did locate IW for a moment in the midst of being inundated with invisible power blasts, IW could put up her invisible shield, create some invisible energy constructs and bash in WW's face!

Gotta go with IW on this one- the possibilities are endless and uniformly unpleasant. Bubbles, asphyxiation, invisible toejam, you name it. The only thing standing in the way of total domination would be bad writing and maybe a kindly disposition.

Ahh....it's fights like these where everybody wins. ;-)

I went with WW. I think Invisible Woman is not as strong willed as WW, and even tho she may have the advantage with being invisible and having force blasts, I think WW would win simply because of her will and because she's a warrior by birth. Sue never snapped anyone's neck. XD

Hey everybody!

Someone in Argentina and some one in The American Embassy in Africa voted on our poll!

I thought that was pretty cool and wanted to share!

Thanks South American and African voters!

Any truth to the rumor that all future Nobel Peace Prizes will be decided by a Jared @ comix connection poll?
