Manager Jared's Weekly Matchup Poll #4
We're in the water this week to see two fish-men battle it out! Both royalty and both very strong and fast! We'll see these two battle it out under water with all the resources of the sea at their call.
The Contender's Powers:
Prince Namor the Sub-Mariner: Amphibious physiology, superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability, longevity, flight. Telepathic and bioelectrical powers. Namor's strength level is such that he has held his own in hand to hand combat with beings as powerful as the Hulk in the past. He IS NOT in possession of the Time Gem from the Infinity Gauntlet in this fight!
Aquaman (Arthur Joseph): Undersea adaptation, telepathy, enhanced senses, super strength, durability and stamina, resistance to heat/energy based attacks. He is a long time member of the Justice League of America and has helped battle many dangerous foes. He IS NOT in possession of a Black Lantern ring in this fight!

I voted for the Sub-Mariner because the two contenders seemed to be equal in all abilities except for the Sub-Mariner's speed and flight. Aquaman does have the enhanced senses that Sub-Mariner doesn't, but I didn't think that could beat out flight, AND super speed.
Namor is pretty damn tough. Thor and Hulk kinda tough. Aquaman (who cannot seem to catch a friggin' break!) just isn't in that class. Telepathy with the sea creatures might buy him some time, but in the end, Namor is kicking him to the curb. As always, just my opinion; I could be wrong.
I gave Namor the nod, because as was pointed out to me this weekend at Baltimore, he has funky eyebrows.
Funky eyebrows always trump ugly orange and green costumes.

I chose Namor because he is able to go hand to hand with the Hulk and I don't see Aquaman standing up against the Hulk...plus...Secondary Mutations? What if he develops even further?!
I'm going to have to go with Namor. I haven't really followed either of them, but everytime I run across Namor in the funny books I feel intimedated.
