New Live Action Turtles Movie!

Jared here. Like many guys born in the early eighties, and people all over, I loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on TV. The cartoon was so much fun when I was a child and only got cooler when the first movie was released. The movies released in my childhood had all kinds of things to love. First and foremost the Ninja Turtles themselves, but also pizza and awesome bad guys. I, for one wanted to be in the Foot Clan more than I wanted to be a turtle. But that's another story alltogether.

I just wanted to post here about the latest news for the upcoming movie. It looks like the writers of the Iron Man movie script, screenwriters Art Marcum & Matt Holloway, will be writing a script for the Turtles! Pretty exciting if you liked how Iron Man turned out.

Paramount is teaming with Platinum Dunes on the project and it is to be a live action film with some limited CGI in the Turtles faces. The studio is asking for a first draft by October. They want it together to prepare for a 2012 release. Sounds good to me!
