Second Food Drive Donation Report
The Comix Connection Holiday Food Drive 2010 is gathering speed, and pounds! Once again we're all amazed at how all of you guys and gals have been so generous with your food donations to the York Rescue Mission and the Harrisburg Food Bank! If you remember, Ned hauled the first pile gathered from Comix Connection - York to the York Rescue Mission and that clocked in at 242 POUNDS! And when I was there today, the box was already about 1/4 full! That's completely awesome! But there's more! The man from the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank swung by Comix Connection - Mechanicsburg and emptied the barrel out and it appears you folks donated - drumroll please - A WHOPPING 464 additional pounds of food! That's amazing!

That puts us at 706 pounds of food donated so far, or over 35% of the way to our GOAL OF ONE TON (2000 pounds) OF FOOD! WAA-HOOOO! Please keep this momentum up, guys and gals so that we can

Bill - this food drive is an absolutely cool thing you're doing. I know that back issues aren't exactly where the revenue is anymore in the comic biz, but the fact remains that you're giving up your merchandise, for free, to support a great cause. My hat's off to you. You're a true gentelman and the world could use a few more people like you.
For my part, I've donated already and plan to make a few more trips in before years end with some food dontations each time. Hope everyone else out there keeps the momentum going as well. Let's feed some people, people!
Oh my Edward, thanks, but really it's all the people who are donating SO MUCH to help us reach our goal. We will GLADLY swap comic books for food for the needy. THANK YOU and everyone else who has donated... it's really great to see the comic fans come together and do this... I KNEW we all were awesome!
Oh and the bins are filling up at both stores again! We'll have to empty them on Monday or so... I can't wait to see how many more pounds of food everyone has chipped in... I wonder if we've hit 1000 pounds yet?
