Well, it looks like I'll be joining the legion of Doctor Who fans (shut up already, Joe!) soon because, really, I have no choice:
My friend Wesley GAVE me this box full of Doctor Who episodes on DVD to "catch me up" to the current series. It consists of the most recent FIVE SEASONS since the rejuvenation of this venerated BBC TV show. Now, notice all the writing on the box? Wesley kindly jotted down all the characters I will run into as I watch the show... and to make sure I actually WATCHED the show he's gonna quiz me on it. And there is NO WAY I'm gonna ignore Wesley. I don't want to tangle with Wesley. So it looks like I'm all in. Thanks! Here I go.

My best friend is a huge fan and has been recommending Doctor Who to me for a while. I've been watching Series 1 through my laptop and/or PS3 via netflix. So far so good. The previews for the new season look fantastic!!!
Doctor Who is classic, Bill, just absolutely classic science fiction. I think you'll love it. Plus you get to start with the snazzy reboot, and skip all the preceding 26 years of cheesy monsters and special effects.
Joe and I will gladly give you all the backstory you can stand, and then some.
Tell him you also want the Torchwood box.
