Comix Connection's Annual Holiday Food Drive 2011 begins!

Hey everyone! Remember how last year you all donated food to the York Rescue Mission and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank? Remember the fact that you all helped donate over ONE TON OF FOOD?

Well, what say we do it again?

Starting today and ending Sunday, January 1st 2012, we're again hosting the Completely Cool Comix Connection Food Drive 2011! Bring us some food and we'll enter you in a prize drawing PLUS YOU GET ONE FREE COMIC BOOK (YOUR CHOICE) OUT OF THE BINS for every single IN-DATE food item you deliver! Donations benefit the York Rescue Mission and the Pennsylvania Food Bank! Let's help our fellow Pennsylvanians and put some food on our friends' tables this holiday season!

FOR EACH FOOD ITEM DONATED, YOU WILL RECEIVE ONE ENTRY INTO OUR COMIX CONNECTION FOOD DRIVE 2011 PRIZE DRAWING!

Here are some donation suggestions, courtesy of the York Rescue Mission:

* Canned cranberry sauce
* Canned fruits & vegetables
* Boxed stuffing mix
* Instant mashed potatoes
* Canned yams or sweet potatoes
* White rice
* Condensed soup (15.5 oz)
* Instant pudding or Jell-o
* Boxed cereal (15 oz)
* Oatmeal, grits or Cream of Wheat
* Pancake mix & syrup
* Juice & powdered drinks
* Coffee (beans or ground)
* Salad dressings
* Ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise
* Peanut butter & jelly
* Spaghetti sauce & pasta
* Salt, pepper, sugar and sugar substitute packages

(Please no glass containers!)

PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT ACCEPT OUTDATED FOOD ITEMS! FOOD ITEMS MUST BE AT LEAST TWO MONTHS IN DATE!

If you donate outdated food items, we will just throw them away and you will not receive a contest entry or free bin comic for that item. Please folks, we're trying to feed people here, not poison them. Check your food items and make sure they are still in date!
