My pal Tom Hayes sent me the following:
I still can't find that bloody picture of my dad in the late 1940's with his Plastic Man surfboard, but I found a picture of Danny Dark, the voice actor, with his Superman board from the 1970's. I'm still going through boxes of photos; Plasboard may yet turn up....
Keep looking, Tom! I want to see a vintage Plastic Man surfboard! Too cool!

It was a red board with the Plastic Man black and yellow stripes and the yellow diamond on it right about where Supes' red trunks are in the Donny Dark picture. It was a custom job; I found a picture of my dad with it back when I was a kid visiting his mom's house. It was in a box with some other comics stuff, including my dad's golden age Captain America books, which of course we did not keep. I was just shocked to learn that at one point in his life, my dad was a geek like me.
