Get Yourself on the "Nice" List...and Get Some Free Comic Books!

Just a reminder to all and sundry that Comix Connection is still running our annual winter FOOD DRIVE from now until January 1st. For every food item you bring in, you will get one entry into our raffle drawing, and you will also get to pick ONE FREE COMIC out of our vast selection of books in our back issue bins!

Here are some tips to keep in mind when you're choosing what to donate:
  • The Food Bank needs some processing time, so all items have to be at least two months in date.
  • Try and avoid glass containers; everything goes into big barrels, and we don't want anything to break!
  • Peanut butter, pastas, canned meats, fruits, and veggies, hearty stews, and even bagged tea are especially helpful!
    • Things like ramen noodles, cup-o-soup, jello packets, fancy pickles and strange condiments, etc., are less so.
  • Try and choose things that can be used to make a meal, rather than complete one-person dinners; they cook in bulk!
Again, we will continue collecting food at both Comix Connection locations every day until January. Let's see if we can break our record, feed some hungry people in need, and help you avoid getting coal in your stocking!
